Refund and Returns Policy

Not the right book, or not in the right shape? Here's how returns, exchanges, and refunds work at froshix, owned and operated by Akea, LLC. The short version: 30 days, $0 restocking fee, refunds in 5–7 business days after approval.
Return Window & Eligibility
You have 30 days from the delivery date to request a return or exchange. To qualify, a book must be:
- Unread and in resellable condition — no creased spine, no dog-eared or bent pages
- Free of writing, highlighting, stickers, and stains
- Still in its shrink wrap, if it arrived sealed
- Accompanied by your order number
How to Return or Exchange
Don't ship anything until you hear from us — unapproved returns can't be processed.
- Email admin@froshix.com with your order number, the title(s), and the reason.
- We reply within one business day with instructions and the return address.
- Pack the books securely (a rigid mailer or box protects corners) and ship them to that address.
- Send us the return tracking number.
- Once received and inspected, we issue your refund or ship your exchange.
Return Method
Mail only — we have no physical drop-off point. The return address comes by email with your approval; books sent anywhere else may not be processed or refunded.
Condition Check on Arrival
Every return is inspected. Books that come back read, marked, water-damaged, or with broken spines don't qualify for a refund. If a return fails inspection, we'll email you photos and the reason, and you can have it shipped back at your cost.
Return Shipping Costs
- Our error — damaged, defective, or wrong title sent: we pay, you pay nothing, and original shipping is refunded too.
- Changed your mind or ordered the wrong book: you cover return shipping, and original shipping fees aren't refunded. Use a tracked service; we can't be responsible for untracked returns that go missing.
Restocking Fee
Restocking Fee: $0 — we do not charge any restocking fees for returns.
Reason for Return
A quick note on why helps us sort your request faster: wrong title ordered, arrived damaged, received the wrong book, duplicate purchase, or simply changed your mind. All are fine — just tell us which.
Non-Returnable Items
- Books marked Final Sale on their product page
- Gift cards
- Returns sent without approval or outside the 30-day window
Damaged or Defective Books
Misprints, missing pages, upside-down printing, torn covers, transit damage — email admin@froshix.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the book and packaging. Once confirmed: free replacement or full refund, your choice, and in most cases you keep or recycle the damaged copy rather than mailing it back.
Exchanges
Want a different title instead? Same steps as a return, within the same 30 days. Once your original arrives and passes inspection, the new book ships per our Shipping Policy. If the title you want is out of stock, we refund instead.
Order Changes & Cancellations
- Free changes or cancellation within 24 hours of ordering.
- After 24 hours your order is usually with our fulfillment center and can't be guaranteed stoppable — email us anyway and we'll try.
- Cancellations within the window are refunded in full to the original payment method.
Refused or Undeliverable Packages
If a package is refused at the door or returned as undeliverable due to a wrong or incomplete address, we'll contact you when it's back: reship with a new shipping fee, or refund the items. Original shipping on these packages isn't refunded.
Lost, Stolen, or "Delivered" but Not Received
Check porches, mail areas, neighbors, and front desks first, and allow 48 hours — carriers sometimes scan early. Still nothing, email us within 7 business days of the marked delivery date and we'll open a carrier claim. Confirmed lost: replacement or refund. Theft after a correct, confirmed delivery is handled case by case and may require a police report for larger orders.
Refund Timing
- Inspection: within 5–7 business days of your return arriving.
- Refunds go to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–7 business days after approval, depending on your bank.
- We email you at each step. If nothing shows after 10 business days post-approval, check with your bank, then contact us.
