This policy covers what froshix, owned and operated by Akea, LLC ("we," "us"), collects about you, why, and what control you have over it. It applies whenever you browse froshix.com, buy from us, or write to us. Plain language throughout — privacy shouldn't require a law degree.
When We Update This Policy
Changes get posted here with a new "Last updated" date. For anything significant, we'll aim to flag it on the site before it takes effect. Using the site after an update means you accept the current version.
What Information We Collect
Three sources: what you give us, what your browser tells us, and what our service partners pass along. Each below.
Information You Give Us Directly
- Name, email, phone, shipping and billing addresses
- What you order — titles, quantities, order history
- Account details, if you create one
- Anything you write to us by email or contact form
Card numbers are the exception: they go straight to Stripe or PayPal over an encrypted connection and never touch our servers. See our Payment Policy.
Information We Collect Automatically
Standard technical data via cookies and similar tools: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you found us. It keeps the site running and shows us what readers are into.
Information From Third Parties
Limited data from partners who help us operate — payment confirmations from our processors, delivery updates from carriers, aggregate analytics and ad-performance data from those providers.
How We Use Your Information
To run the store, and nothing unrelated to it:
- Process and deliver orders, send confirmations and shipping updates
- Answer questions and handle returns under our Refund and Returns Policy
- Detect fraud and keep checkout safe
- Improve the site and what we stock
- Send marketing emails where permitted — unsubscribe anytime via the link in any of them
- Meet tax and legal obligations
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cookies keep your cart alive, power analytics, and measure ads. Manage or block them in your browser settings whenever you like — just note that blocking essential ones can break the cart or checkout.
Who We Share Your Information With
Only operational partners, only what they need:
- Stripe and PayPal, for payments
- Our US fulfillment partner, who gets your name and shipping address to pack and send your books
- FedEx, UPS, and USPS, for delivery and tracking
- Hosting, email, analytics, and advertising providers
- Authorities, when the law genuinely requires it
We don't sell your information for money. Some ad and analytics tools may pass identifiers in ways California law counts as a "sale" or "sharing" — you can opt out anytime at our Do Not Sell My Information page.
How Long We Keep Your Data
Only as long as needed: order records for the years tax law requires, account data while your account is active, support threads until resolved and reasonably archived. After that, deleted or anonymized.
How We Protect Your Information
HTTPS across the site, PCI-compliant payment processing, and access limited to those who need it. Honest caveat: no online system is risk-free, and we won't pretend otherwise — but we collect little and guard what we hold.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may request access to your data, correction, deletion, a portable copy, or restriction of certain processing. Email admin@froshix.com with the subject "Privacy Request" — we may verify your identity first, and we'll respond within the legally required timeframe.
California residents: the CCPA/CPRA additionally gives you the right to know what we collect and why, to access, correct, and delete it, to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and to never be treated worse for exercising any of these rights — same prices, same service, always. Children's Privacy
Some of our comics and graphic novels appeal to younger readers, but our store itself is built for adult purchasers. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 — if you believe a child has submitted theirs, tell us and we'll delete it.
Third-Party Links
Links to sites we don't run — carrier tracking, social platforms, publisher pages — are outside this policy. Check their own privacy terms before sharing anything there.
International Users
We serve US customers, and Akea, LLC operates from California. Accessing the site from elsewhere means your data is processed in the United States, where data rules may differ from your country's. Using the site is your consent to that.
