Payment Policy

How paying for your books works at froshix, owned and operated by Akea, LLC. Short version: pay at checkout via Stripe or PayPal, in USD, and your card details never touch our servers.

How You Can Pay

  • Credit and debit cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover — processed through Stripe
  • PayPal

That's the full list. No checks, money orders, bank transfers, or cash on delivery.

When You're Charged

In full, at checkout. No payment, no order — if a charge fails, nothing is created and nothing is billed.

Order Confirmation

A confirmation email with your order number arrives within minutes of payment. Missing? Check spam, then email admin@froshix.com and we'll resend. Keep that order number — it's the fastest way for us to find you.

Pricing

All prices are in US dollars (USD). The price at the moment you order is the price you pay; later price changes don't touch existing orders. Shipping and tax, where they apply, show separately at checkout before you confirm.

Tax

Sales tax is calculated automatically at checkout from your shipping address and displayed before payment. The checkout total is the final total — nothing added after.

Secure Checkout

Payments run through Stripe and PayPal — encrypted, PCI-compliant processors. Your card number goes directly to them and never passes through or sits on our servers. How we handle the rest of your data is in our Privacy Policy.

Pre-Authorization Holds

A failed or canceled attempt can leave a temporary pending charge on your account. That's a bank-side hold, not money we've taken — it typically clears in 3–7 business days. Lingering longer? Ask your bank first, then us.

Canceled or Failed Orders

  • Failed payment: no order is created. Re-check your details, try another method, or contact your bank.
  • Cancel within 24 hours per our Refund and Returns Policy: full refund to your original payment method.
  • If we cancel on our end — a title becomes unavailable, or an address falls under our shipping restrictions — you're emailed and refunded in full.

Promotions and Discount Codes

  • Enter codes at checkout; they can't be applied to orders already placed.
  • One code per order unless a promotion says otherwise.
  • Codes have no cash value and expired codes can't be revived.
  • Partial refunds on discounted orders reflect what you actually paid.

Billing Address

Enter the billing address your card issuer has on file — a mismatch is the top reason payments get declined. Billing and shipping addresses can differ; just fill each field correctly.

Fraud Prevention

Orders are screened for unauthorized payment. If something looks off, we may pause the order and email you to verify before it ships. Orders that can't be verified, or that our processors flag as high risk, may be canceled and refunded.

Chargebacks

Spot an unfamiliar charge or have an order problem? Email admin@froshix.com before disputing with your bank — we resolve almost everything faster than a chargeback does. Disputes filed on legitimate, delivered orders will be contested with order records and delivery confirmation.

Your Privacy

We collect only what's needed to process payment and deliver your books, and we never sell your personal information. Full details in our Privacy Policy; California residents can review opt-out rights at our Do Not Sell My Information page.
